Warm. Everything felt... warm. Why did it always take so long for her to take form? How long had it even been. It wasn't like she had a valid concept of time or anything, not while she was in her rejuvenating state.
Finally she felt a surge of energy to tell her that it was time, and she started to take form, making sure she took this opportunity to change a little detail about her outfit, a star where the yellow diamond used to be on her uniform, standing and looking around once formed, crossing her arms over her chest and glancing to Jasper, a hint of worry in her eyes, "Good. I did somehow manage to save your gem then."

I've wasted time, I've wasted breath Jasper looked over to where light was flooding the room. It wasn't just the lamp this time as it had an emerald hue to it. Emerald if you oversaturated it to be as bright as possible. Clearly, this was Peridot reforming! It had felt like forever, but had only been a few weeks, during which Jasper had poured her soul out and confessed things when she sure nobody was around or awake. Yes, she was saying them to Peridot's gem, but she knew the other couldn't hear her from inside. Saying it, though, made her feel better.
"Yeah, you did," she grumbled, attempting to look grumpy and angry like she normally did. She didn't want the already egotistical Gem to think that she cared, or something. Notes template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Peridot picked up one of the stuffed animals around her and gave a beaming smile at Jasper, suddenly throwing her arms around the larger gem's body... the best she could, she was only about thigh height on the giant woman. Even still, the guesture was sincere. "I'm glad to see you again," she found herself saying, and cleared her throat, quickly pulling away.

I've wasted time, I've wasted breath Jasper had very little time to react to Peridot's radiant smile, apparently happy to see the hulking mass of Quartz, before she was wrapped in a tight hug. Of course, Peridot did not reach very far considering the average height ratio of Peridots to Jaspers, but there was surprising oomph behind it. It was also nothing like the hugs she had felt from other Quartzes (which were more like tests of endurance)... those were unbearably strong. Peridot's was just the right amount of force, paired with pure joy. It was hard to tell with the diagonal stripe across her face, but a ruddy blush began to creep onto her face, displaying her embarrassment to the keen eye.
"I guess it's all right you didn't shatter," she coughed into her hand. "I need someone to help me out and I don't trust a Pearl to do it." Notes template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

The tiny green gem pulled away and looked up at the larger female with a brilliant smirk, hands going to her hips in a matter-of-fact like pose. ”Though Steven’s pearl is very capable, I don’t blame you for not trusting her. A Pearl so rude as she is must have something wrong with her right?” She laughed and put a hand on Jasper’s leg, leaning against her as she continued on with her smug tone, beaming up at the orange mass. “I guess we’re even now right? I poof you and you poof me?”

I've wasted time, I've wasted breath Peridot was insufferable, but in a cute way that you could not help but laugh and play along. Sort of like a doomed effort, similar to an Earth creature's existence (which was limited and meaningless).
"You can tell the defectiveness by the mere shape of her gem," Jasper remarked. "It's not round enough. That's probably why she's so..." There was a clockwise motion with her finger next to her head. Of course, her implication that a Gem's rebellious mentality had to do with defectiveness might have inadvertently insulted Peridot, although that was not what she meant.
The touch on her leg made her flinch a little, a repressed memory being dug up. She took a breath and reminded herself that this was not Training. This was not Holly Blue Agate reprimanding her with physical force.
"Even enough," she muttered. Notes template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0
