Hair:
Share the typical Quartz hair style. Long thick, unruly hair, though it is coloured black rather than the traditional beige-white. The length of their itself reaches down to his kneecaps.

The biggest noticeable feature of Onyx is his large, bulking battle armour. Two large pauldrons on either side of his shoulder, strong durable chest plate, sturdy leggings, and arm guards. The helmet itself is designed to greatly protect the Onyx’s gem on his forehead when in battle, along with a eyelid V shape visor that grants an intimidating orange/red glow due to the colour of his eyes. The design of the overall armour is to further intimidate one’s opponent, the fear comes from the chest plate having the design of a face, with two large eyes and a mouth with fangs. It almost appears that Onyx has an extra face on his chest due to the craftsmanship.

About Onyx Gemstones (In General):
Onyx Gems share the qualities, strengths and abilities of that to their Quartz counterparts. However, these are true soldiers of war as they also possess the commanding qualities of an Agate. These are warriors that inspire terror and fear to the hearts of their enemies, but also demonstrate the raw physical power of strength as well as inner-strength to overcome the odds.
Onyx Gems are literally known for their immense strength.
While there not as many Onyx Quartz Gems compared to the rest of their counterparts, these gems in society hold the stature and ranks of Captains, Generals and field commanders especially on Homeworld when serving White Diamond. However, all Onyx Gems are generally created to start out as Gladiators in order to prove themselves worthy of even holding such a noticeable rank.
These gems are mainly described to be well known for their ferocity in battle, going into battle with mainly their gauntlet fists into battle. Gems are warned to steer clear from Onyx’s when in battle.
To have an Onyx accompany you is an achievement worthy of recognition, not just become of their brutish fighting nature, and raw power on the battlefield, but the fact that these are the gems created directly from White Diamond herself.
Skillset:
Warrior Gauntlet & Halberd Proficientcy: The prize usage of their main weapon, the gauntlet is a terrifying weapon of an Onyx Quartz Soldier, mainly due to the fact that it fits together with their brutish force of engaging in close combat with both lightning speed and immense power. However, Onyx’s are also known to have a secondary weapon to use for battle, which is mainly the Halberd for extra close-medium range combat.
Primal Martial Arts: Ever since being free from a Planet’s Crust Onyx Quartz Soldiers are known from the beginning how to fight, and like their fellow counterparts Onyx’s are capable of adapting the usage of both weapon based attacks with fighting style moves whether it is grappling, throwing, body slamming, fighting with powerful punches and kicks, and even using the opponents body as a tool. However an Onyx fighting style is wild, rapid, and unpredictable resembling that of a beast gone mad, The combination of using such a bizaare fighting style and applying their proficient weapons in battle makes Onyx a challenging opponent.
Onyx Battle Armor: The prized battle armour of any true warrior of the Gem Homeworld and the distinquishable feature of an Onyx Quartz soldier. This Heavy suit of armour is surprisingly durable, flexible, and able to perform quick manovuer whilst in the heat of battle. The large Pauldrons on either side of the shoulder may look huge and otherwise pointless, but they prove to be rather resilient against range attacks. Onyx Battle armour whilst able to withstand range, it is mostly designed to hold back and withstand brutal physical attacks.
Unique Abilties:
Invoke Terror: As much as Onyx Gemstone are terrifying enough passively, when in combat such nature can also be used on the battlefield. Onyx can use his intimidating form to roar extremely loud, causing a white firey aura to form around him, and his eyes glowing pure red. Such an ability is used to greatly decrease the enemies morale, and increase Onyx’s defense and speed.
True Strength: The litteral definition of an Onyx is their ability of immense Superhuman Strength and Inner-Strength which is their amin source of power. They are able to utilise such raw strength to dominate the battlefield and are able to go toe to toe with even physical based fusion gems (from up to three gems fused together)
